Casco Township does not have a township wide garbage collection; each resident is responsible for contacting and setting up their own garbage pickup. There are 2 companies that most of the resident’s use:

• Board of Trustees – 2 nd Tuesday of every month at 7PM
• Planning Commission – 3 rd Tuesday of every month 7PM

Yes, Casco Township is a zoned community. Please refer to the building department tab or call the office to see what is required.

Taxes can be mailed, brought into the office, or paid at the First State Bank in Richmond.

Yes, the Township Hall can be rented out for events. Please contact the clerk’s office for more information.

The Township of Casco has a signed contract with both the City of Richmond and IRA Township Fire Departments to provide Fire Protection to the Township of Casco. In order to help with the expense of these contracts, the Casco Township Board adopted Ordinance Section 15.4 to provide for the collection of a fee from those who use the services of the Fire Departments for Rescue and/or Fire purposes. Directed by the Township Ordinance: Chapter 15 Sections 15.1 – 15.8 to collect the cost of the Fire or Emergency run. Please see the clerks tab for more information.

Burn permits can be obtained by either the Richmond Fire Department or the Ira Township Fire Department. Richmond Fire Department services most of Casco, but Ira Township Fire Department does service a portion of Casco South of Meisner Rd. Please contact whichever Department services your area.

Dog tags are provided by the treasurer’s office. Vet papers are required to obtain dog tags.
