A township ordinance is ineffective unless it is uniformly enforced. Enforcement of most ordinances is accomplished by an initial informal, but firm, notice to the violator allowing a limited period to correct the ordinance violation. Where a correction is not accomplished, the township should be prepared to take the next step in ordinance enforcement.
